HW - Compaq Proliant ML 370 with Compaq hardware RAID controller, 256MB memory, 2x1.2GHz CPU and 3x36GB Ultra-III Wide SCSI HDD. The RAID hardware is configured for RAID 5.
The Suse 8.1 OS installed fine, I installed just about everything. When partitioning the drives, it saw one large 67GB HDD. Once it was completed and it rebooted for the first time (and everytime after that), Suse has the following message and hangs there:
Loading module cpqarray....
Using /lib/modules/2.4.19-64GB-SMP/lernel/drivers/block/cpqarray.0
Compaq SMART2 Driver (v 2.4.22)
cpqarray: Finding drives on ide0 (Integrated array)
cpqarray: ida/c0d0: blksz=512 nr_blks=142245120
blk: queue c04063c0, I/O limit 4095MB (mask 0xffffffff)
Partition check:
ida/c0d0
Then it never goes any further, it just stays there. I waited over an hour and still stuck.
Thoughts?
