Suse 8.1 Professional. This is the package I installed on a x386. I know most standard packages are installed. When it came to connect via ftp I was unable to.
I did change the user to add ftp to the profile but still no luck. I know there is another package installed and I had to remove and install ftp software.
I am also unable to telnet to the system. I know I have to check so many parameters as to why. I know the firewall is not configured yet.
So, what could be reason that being that it is a network server rather than a workstation it should atleast allow me to telnet into this box.
