Hello,
if you're running a compaq server you are probably having a problem with the Compaq Insight Manager. Disable or remove it and see what happens after restarting the server.
ARCserve6.0 has been dropped for support some time ago, but if you want to work with it, service pack 3 for AS 6.0 should be applied.
Check for the build number in AS manager ---> Help ---> About ARCserve. Should be 516. If AS is below that build apply service pack 3 and check if it's 516 afterwards.
