I would simply like to know what is the average search time you have at your place?
Also, if you could mention
[ul]
[li]What type of indexes you're using (Enterprise, Crawler, Spider, etc.)[/li]
[li]An estimation of how many object you have in it[/li]
[li]If the security is complex (or is it almost all public stuff)[/li]
[li]The power of your servers and maybe your servers config (NLB, clustered, SA, DB /w LL)[/li]
[li]Or any other information you think could influence your search time[/li]
[/ul]
Thank you!

Should I understand that nobody is using Livelink search? Or maybe are we the only ones concerned by search performance which by the way seems to be absolutely not optimal! (More on this later)

These bottle necks are usually one thru a performance audit($$$) thru opentext PSO.It is usually worth their recommendations.Otherwise it would not be comparing apples to apples. You can do your perormance audit yourself.I hope you know this
wantSummaryTimings=TRUE
in your ini file. What were you expecting as an answer. If I search for a keyword how long does it take to return values.
Let me point out some more factors that may affect search time
Code:
  i)Slices(Enterprise,Enterprise all versions)
ii)Search configuration results what all things are in your reported results(see help on configuring search)
Are you pretty much a default install
iii)Are there additional node attributes, custom attributes
    that are being indexed
iv)Do you exclude some mimetypes, nodes from indexing
v)What kind of RAM and processors are on your admin box.Do you have pretty much the specs that OT says to have or more.
vi)What DB for metadata search

Well, if I called the wrong number, why did you answer the phone?
