SureStore DLT40 blinking lights

Hi,

I'm using DLT40 with window Nt 4.0 Server. This morning the "Write Protected", "Tape in use" and "Use cleaning tape" lights are blinking; the "operate handle led" is green. I've rebooted my server and power down the DLT a couple time and all that did not helped. Has anyone encounter the same problem?

If memory serves correctly when this happens the "Tape Leader" assembly has come un-done and it can no longer load a tape. If you are brave and mechanicly inclined you can disasemble the drive and fix it if you have another unit to compare it to. However, my experience is that it will continue to come un-done from time to time.

I would replace it.
