Supressing Sub-Reports

Greetings all....

Is there any way to supress a Sub-Report from Printing but still have it return values in the shared variables...?

The short answer is no. You can't suppress the subreport as this stops it from running, and if the subreport doesn't run, it won't generate the data to pass back to the main report.

There are a number of different ways to 'hide' the sub report. Personally, I switch of the can grow on the subreport, make the text white, make the Subreport as small as possible, then underlay following sections on the section the subreport is in. Not ideal but a necessary work around...
