I have a formula field that sometimes gives 0.00 values. I am trying to supress this when it is at 0.00 or just replace it with nothing.

I have the formula as below

IF {@LineUnitAmount} = 0 Then " "
Else
{@LineUnitAmount}

But it says a string is required here. Nay ideas please.

Thanks

Select your formula {@LineUnitAmount}->right click->format->suppress->x+2 formula area->enter:

currentfieldvalue=0

Hi

It says this function can only be used in field formatting formulas.

Thanks

Then you are putting it in the wrong place. Please reread the above and try again.

Hi

If I select the field on the report , I right click->format->suppress->x+2 formula area->enter: etc...

If I select the formula under the field explorer and right mouse click there is not the option to >format->suppress->x+2 formula area->enter:

So which one should it be?

Thanks

If you select format field, a screen will open with the suppress option. The formula area is a box on the right with x+2 on it. Click on it and put the formula there.

Yes I have tried that but still get an error. I have attached a screen shot of what is happening, thanks

What is the content of {@LineUnitAmount}? If you have any formulas inside this one, please provide the content of those too.

Hi thanks for the help, it did have formulas inside this one which I managed to adjust to make it work correctly.
