Supress Report footer

Crystal Version 9.0
I am trying to suppress a report footer that contains a subreport ONLY. Sometimes there will be no data in the subreport, in which case I don't want the report footer section to print. Also, I don't know if the subreport has data until the subreport fires. How can I suppress the report footer based on "no data" in the subreport. I checked the "Suppress Blank Section", but that doesn't work either.TIA.

What version of CR are you using? In version 9 there is an option for formatting the subreport called Suppress Blank Subreport. Set that switch then set the suppress blank section at the report footer. This will suppress the blank subreport as well as the section.

In earlier releases you will need to suppress the subreport sections conditionally ( using the isnull function to check for data in the subreport).
