Hi All,
I have a DB that has an ICON to send an email. When the user selects the option a msg appears ( You are trying to send an email outside of Outlook, Do you want to do thi?) The user then selects YES and the email gets sent. Is there a way to keep this msg from appearing?

Thanks in advance!!

Rick

in MS Access VBA the short answer is "No" ,
The way we get round this is with a program called 'express click yes' - renders the users computer vunerable against real attacks, but resolves the issue of the annoying popup.

CDO?? This is probably a stupid question but......What is it?

I wrote a sub for CDO.
One must know the account & password for each Outlook account(may be problematic in your caSE)

I haven't found code that gets the SMTP on a particular
computer.

...may be insightful all the same?
