Hello,

I have an Access report like this:

Date amount
10/11/2004 $200.00
9/27/2004 $100.00
9/27/2004 $100.00

How can I supress the Date and amount that show up more than once.

Thank you
Jill

What is the query (recordsource) of your Report?

Have you tried making a Totals Query that Groups on Date and Amount?

I wonder if you could use the a totals query and the "First" option?

Are you trying to list distinct records or just want to display each date once only if multiple listed?

If the latter look at the "Hide Duplicates" property of the control.

The hide duplicates worked ok, however, when the report has more than two pages of output the duplicates are showing up again.

All the hide duplicates option does is suppress similar data from each row in the same column.
Is the query correctly set for the data i.e. are they the same records presented twice ? Checking the Join properties would probably be the best first step to take.

You might alos try setting the Unique Values or Unique Records properities of your query.

Try changing you query to...

Select DISTINCT .....

or

What GingerR said should work.
Create a grouping on Date and Amount and display the group header, but hiding the group detail.

Hope this helps.
