Supress Detail and Pulling Max associated fields

I know, I'm just full of questions...

In Report Studio 8.1, I have a report that I'd like to surpress the detail (just want the summaries)...I can't find anywhere to surpress it.

My other quesiton is (and I have posted about maximum functionality before)...how do I pull the maximums associated field?

So for example, let's say my report has 4 rows, and I want to pull the max salary and the associated name in the summary, how do I do that?

Sorry guys, I know these are probably simple questions for you, but the manual/help is honestly poorly written (IMO).
