I have a report on crystal reports 8.5 where the client wants to suppress a link to a sub-report when the report prints and allow it to show up when previewing the report.

The link has a display name of

*** Click Here to see Compatible Unit Detail by Feature ***

This is just a on-demand sub-report. The client doesn't want this to show on the printed report. Since this is the last Sub-report on the report, right now I have made this sub-report go to the next page. Can anyone help? I haven't been doing CR very long.

I don't know of a way to make it print anything different from what it displays. The best I can suggest is a parameter that the user could enter, to show or suppress the link, which could be in its own section.

Since 90% of my users output is in PDF format, I use hyperlinks to solve that. Instead of having a subreport within a main report, I took the subreport out and ran it separately from the main report. Within the main report, I just create a hyperlink in the main report to the "subreport". This worked great for my summary reports where the users wants the detail behind the numbers.

Just a thought.
