Suppressing / Excluding categories thru a macro

hi

I have a macro where i need to either suppress or exclude some categories. Thru the macro i set the inclusion property of the category to <category>.inclusion =3(for suppress)..and then update and save the model .. but this does not seem to work ..

basically all the properties of the category seem to work except the inclusion property ..
any clues why?
