Suppressing a subreport

I have a sub report that has a text object and a data object. I want to suppress the whole sub report if the data object is blank or null. The sub report is serial numbers for a picking slip. The text object is S/N. The object field is {OESELI.SERIALNUM}.

Any help you may provide is very much appreciated.

Which version of Crystal?

In Crystal 8.5, there is no direct solution, because it decided whether or not to print a section before it evaluates the subreport in that section. There is however a workround, see t, thread782-477236
