Hello,

i am creating a letterhead and i am having issues with the to address.

the database has following fields:

Addressee
Address Line 1
Address Line 2
City, State, Zip

The issue i am facing is that not all the tenants have address line 2 populated. So how do i suppress it that if there is some thing in line 2 then it expands to include line 2 other wise only shows what's populated.

right now even though line 2 is not visible because there is no text in it but its still occupying that space unde address line 1 and showing up as a blank box.

should i create a subreport for address?

Create additional detail sections - A, B, C, and D. Put the fields in the appropriate sections, then in the section expert click 'suppress blank section'.

If I recall correctly ( it has been a while), if you create a text box and place the fields in it, it can be formatted to suppress when blank ( I used it all the time for address labels)

its seems like a good idea...but it didnt work...the space is still visible. I just created multiple sections and thats working best for me right now.
