Suppressed 0 appears when exported as CSV

Hi,

I have a CR report whereby some of my strings were suppressed with zero value.

When this same report is exported as CSV file format, the zeros all appearing when view the file in NOTEPAD, EXCEL etc.

Is there a way to stop this in CR, ie, excludes zero from being exported?

Appreciate any help

Have you downloaded the latest export driver hotfix? What version of crystal?

Do you mean the value is zero but in Crystal you suppress it? One solution is to use a formula field that sets a value of spaces, e.g.
Code:
if {your.value} = 0 then "" 
else ToText({your.value})

The value is zero and suppressed if zero in CR is turned on.
When I export my CR report as CSV, when viewed in NOTEPAD, the suppressed zeros are coming out with commas too - pls see below.

,,,,,0.00,0.00,0.00,,,,,,,,0.00,,,,,,,,0.00
,,,,,0.00,0.00,0.00,,,,,,,,0.00,,,,,,,,0.00
D,,,,,0.00,0.00,0.00,D,,,,,,,0.00,,,,,,,,0.00

I have no clue how to exclude these zeros and commas when my report is exported as file and viewed in notepad

I'm using CR XI, then I download a 30 days trial of CR 2008 full version and the issue still popping up.

Which export driver hotfix you are referring to that is compatible with CR 2008?
 
Which are you using, XI or 2008?

I meant for you to download the hotfix, not upgrade the version.

Just google "crystal reports xi export driver hotfix download". You may have to do some poking around as everything had been recently relocated to the SAP website, but you should be able to find it.
