Hi!

I have a report with many pages, but one page has often vitually no data. That entire page is a subreport.
Is it possible in Crystal Report 8.0 to suppress that subreport based on some data in the subreport?!
If it is how is it done?!
If it isn't how can I solve this problem?!

Thanks in advance!

Dear andreako,

try this...

right click on the section where the subreport is placed goto format section and check the "Supress if blank" option there.

Hope this helps

If you use mshetti's suggestion, be sure to remove the subreport border. Also, your subreport should not have RH or RF sections that print when the subreport has no records.
On the main report, size the subreport section to be no higher than the subreport object itself - and make that small, but with "Can Grow" checked in Format Subreport.

If your subreport has only a few lines of data but prints on a separate page, you must have "New Page Before" checked (or "New Page After" on the preceding section).

also you can go to the format section the subreport is in, must be its own section and in the Linking you add that table to your main report, and put a formula in the supress that says
LinkedSubTableField <> MainTableField
make sure to go into the main sections Show SQL Querry and modify the inner join to say LEFT OUTER join that way you still get your main records
