Suppress "Image Loading" jpg dialog

I am trying to stop the API dialog box that pops up when I'm loading a .jpg picture. I tried suggestions from Dev Ashish and used his code
, but it didn't really help (maybe I need to add a dll reference or something, I used it straight as-is). I tried setting the import control in the regsitry to NO, but still did not stop the dialog from popping up. I have a slide show I want to run and the dialog is truely ruining the show. And, I'd rather not use .bmp since they are extremely large files to store.

Thanks for any help.
