I'm tryiing to Suppress a Group Header if it's the same as the header that printed before it. I'm trying to use a formula in the format section, (x-2) suppress No-Drill down option, but i'm failing terribly, can anyone help? The formula i'm using doesn't seem to be helping :

WhilePrintingRecords;
inRepeatedGroupHeader;

Group headers are automatically suppressed by default unless someone activated the "Repeat group header on every page" checkbox.

From the design windowm right click on the group and select change group. Make sure this box is not checked. Software Training and Support for Macola, Crystal Reports and Goldmine

I am not sure you are describing your problem properly.

As dgillz has said, a group header section is automatically suppressed once it is printed....except if you have enabled the "Repeat group header on every page" checkbox.

And if you did...you would only see a repeated Group header on a new page (which is often a good thing since the user doesn't have to flip pages back and forth to see Group header info.

But this action applies to a whole section....not individual fields...is it the Group header section repeating or header information placed in a detail or other section that is repeating?

if it is header info repeating in another section of the report put the following in the field conditional suppress

whileprintingrecords;
not onfirstrecord and
previous({table.groupHeaderField}) = {table.groupHeaderField}; Jim Broadbent
