Suppress Group Header on Drill Down

I'm not sure if I have been thinking about this too hard, but here is my problem.

I need subtotals on a report and the ability to drill down to the detail behind the subtotals. I understand this part but the presentation is giving me a headache. I have:

GroupHeader #1 subtotalfield
Details detail1 detail2 detail3 etc...
GroupFooter #1

The Details section is formatted for Hide(drill-down Ok) and all is working fine, except that when the user drills down on the detail section, I do not want the group header/footers to show.

Any help is appreciated.

If it is only one level, then have your group name and the subtotal in the Group Footer section, and hide or suppress the group header section.

If you have version 9.0 or greater, there is a drilldowngrouplevel function which allows you to conditionally suppress sections based on the level of drilldown, e.g., you could go to the section expert->GH and GF->suppress->x+2 and enter:

drilldowngrouplevel > 0

I don't have 9.0, but I believe this is how this function works.
