I am using CR9. I have a report with 2 groups, #1 is Salesrep.department, #2 is Salesrep.Name. Obviously the report is broken down by department then name but for some companies that run the report they will not have a "Department" the values will be the same. How can I suppress the Group #1 "Department" if the department field either has NULL values or only one value?

As it is now, the department is either external or internal and if a company has both, the report looks good. But if they only have Internal or vice versa the group #1 formatting and totals show up which is really not necessary. Thanks in advance!

In the section expert->group header/footer->suppress->x+2, enter:

isnull({table.department}) or
distinctcount({table.department})= 1
