I'm trying to suppress a field in a report, but only when printing. Is there a suppression formula that I can use? I'm brand new to Crystal, so any help would be great! Thanks!

Right-click on the fieldand choose Format Field. Then choose the formula icon (x+2 and a pencil) for suppression.

Though I don't follow why you've got the field on your report at all, if you don't want to print it.

Thanks for your speedy reply. It's for a survey that gets mailed to clients. There is an Client ID field that displays - our staff need to see, but it cannot be there when it is printed and sent to our clients. I'm not sure what formula to use to suppress when printing.

You could add a string parameter {?PrintOption} with options "Print" and "View Only". Then select the column you want suppressed when printed->right click->format field->suppress->x+2 and enter:

{?PrintOption} = "Print"
