Suppress detail section when subreport is empty

Hi all... Need some help here.

I have a report.. in which I've inserted a sub_report in the detail section. I need to suppress the entire detail section if the sub report does not produce any results...

How do I do this?

I tried chking 'Suppress Blank Section' under format section.. but it doesn't seem to work..Any idea how I can code it in the condition for Suppress?

In Crystal 9, there is an apparantly option. In Crystal 8.5 you have to do a work-round, see
