Suppress blank subreport

Several subreports compose the detail section of a report. In the format section screen of the report I checked "Suppress Blank Section" yet blank sections still appear in the report when a subreport is blank. In a subreport I enabled "Suppress" for all sections so I would know for sure that nothing printed, that it was indeed blank. Still blank space appeared on the report. On the report when I enabled "Suppress" for the whole subreport the blank space disappeared. Any idea why the enabling "Suppress Blank Section" on the main report does not work?

Thanks,
Tom Morris

Instead of using the Suppress Blank Section, how about just check on the Suppress (No Drill-Down) option, then click on the Formula editor and use the IsNull function and use the field (the main field that you would be looking at in the subreport) as the determinate to suppress the section or not, like IsNull ({object.FieldName}). I find it that this way you're more certain if the section will be suppressed or not. Hope this helps.
