Suppress Automatic Updates WIN XP SP2 ROLLOUT

Does anyone have a script to hack the registry preventing Automatic Updates from being enabled.
I want to deploy WIN XP SP2 without the firewall turned on and automatic updates disabled.
I have the firewall covered. However, I don't know how to use the SMS installer to create the registry hack to disable automatic updates.
Can anyone help?

Just make a gpo turning off that feature...

We are not using AD at this time nor have we ever implemented group policies. I would like to deploy SP2 in one shot and leave the workstation without the firewall or automatic updates.
Any other suggestions?

Locate and then click the following key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate\AU
Add any one of the following settings: • Value name: NoAutoUpdate
Value data: 0 or 1 • 0: Automatic Updates is enabled (default).
• 1: Automatic Updates is disabled.
Registry Value Type: Reg_DWORD

ok that was for 2000 and xp, xpsp2 is of course different, and here is what I havew on my machine....test and make sure but mine works fine.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate

make dword value DoNotAllowXPSP2 with a value data of 1

that was to not allow xpsp2 to be installed via autoupdate.....

the 1st one was right.....I'm going back to bed :|
