Upgraded from support pack 4 to 6 on a NW 5.1 server. During the upgrade, NWConfig reported some files missing...i just told it to ignore them and go to the next files. When I reboot, the console keeps displaying these errors:
module connaud.nlm cannot be loaded until nlsmeter.nlm is loaded.
I try to load nlsmeter and it can't be found

When I try to load npds.nlm it returns an error:
SERVER-5.00-918: Loader cannot find public symbol: IPGetLocalAddrIncludingAux for module NDPSM.NLM
SERVER-5.00-918: Loader cannot find public symbol: inet_addr for module NDPSM.NLM
Error processing external records.
Module NDPSM.nlm is not loaded
Module connaud.nlm cannot be loaded until nlsmeter.nlm is loaded.

I downloaded this support pack from Novell's site...why would it be missing files? How can I uninstall it?

Yeah...I tried to un-install the support pack but no dice...more errors. I can still log in to the server and grab my files but NDS looks trashed...saw a few question mark in nwadmin before. This is a single server in the tree too so I can't even save NDS by moving the replica...looks like a rebuild is necessary.

Quick question...the server has 2 HDs...one for sys and the other for apps and files, not NSS volumes. f I disconnect the file HD, reinstall NW on the sys HD...I'll be able to use the file volume if I reconnect it to the new system?

Yep, shouldn't be a problem. Dewpending how intelligent NetWare is feeling, the only extra thing you may have to do is update [your new] NDS with the new volume information (done via NWCONFIG).
