I have been given a foxpro executable file by my research supervisor to enter a database...I have no idea what version it is...I know he uses it on at least Win98 PC's!

My problem is that each time I try to start it, I get the same "Can't find MS Visual FoxPro Support Library"

I have tried running it on Win 2000 and Win ME, but without any luck...where can I get the necessary files and where do I put them once I have them!

All help is greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

You have to install the VFP runtime files to run a VFP exe, or have a complete copy of VFP on your machine. You can't just copy the exe. See if your boss has the installation disk that he used to install the program on his machine, it will probably contain a setup that will install the required runtime files.

I suggest U to install a version of visual foxpro 6.0 or later. There is another way but it's much more complicated. Whatever U can try to copy in windows\system Vfp6r.dll, Vfp6renu.dll,Vfp6run.exe,Vfpodbc.dll and see if is working. Have fun.
