supplemental rows of data? Oracle Reports

This is late notice since I'm taking the final Oracle Reports exam tomorrow - but
I need to know what are or how to:

Create supplemental rows of data, using queries.

The Osborne book doesn't cover it.  An example or anything would be helpful.
