Suppessed or hidden sections are collaped 1

Crystal XI. I have never seen this before. When I hide or suppress a section, I am used to it staying there as designed, but it grays out. Today (I am on site at a customer) when I do this, the section collapses so that is only a hair tall.

Is this is a setting somewhere? I have looked but cannot find it.

I only have version 10 in front of me now, but there is a setting that might be your culprit. Under File>Options there is a flag for Show Hidden Sections on the Layout tab in the Design View section.

Could something like this be causing your issue?
