Hi folks,

Would I be right in thinking that if I give an account supervisor rights to the server object it is only that object it gets rights for? By this mean would that user/account then have rights to the volumes automatically? or would I need to give rights to the volumes for that server to the account?

Regards

Tony,

If you have inheritance enabled for the server object, anything below it (ie volumes) will receive the rights you have given, otherwise you will have to explicitly specify rights.

The easiest way to find out is to grant yourself rights to the server object but dont touch the volumes and then after nds-replication has taken place, try to access them.

Hope that helps, Cheers Andy.
