Good evening (well, here anyway),

can anyone enlighten me as to whether BO has done away with the ability to 'reset' the supervisor account at SQLplus level in version 6.5.1? I have a script which worked fine at version 5.1.x, but doesn't seem to do the necessary at 6.5.1.

Any help greatly appreciated.

I want to be good, is that not enough?
 
It has not changed. You can certainly reset it. In fact, I don't see why your script for V5 doesn't work. Might be a different value for the status.

Thanks Steve. I managed to get around the problem by setting M_ACTOR_N_AUTID so that the password wasn't verified on login, changing this back this once I had reset the supervisor account.

I want to be good, is that not enough?
