I would like to know whether a Supervisor engine II is compatible with an new 4506.

basically I need to get hold of another swith for our setup - we have a spare sup engine II card that I would like to reuse if possible (as I don't think I'll have the budget for a new supervisor engine). will I be able to run a 4506 using this card?

thanks

Steve

According to a cisco page I looked at the 4013 is an option for the 4500 series chassis so it should work ok . It also has to be at catos release level 7.4.1 for it to work in a 4500 series chassis , if you stick it in a 4500 with a lower version than this it will go into a continual reboot cycle so upgrade before inserting .
