Well, my superstack II 3300 stopped working this weekend. I called 3com this morning for lifetime warranty replacement. I was told that, as of Dec 2005, SSII 3300 is out of warranty and out of production. So they won't repair or give a replacement. Instead I was told to consider the trade-up program in which I need to buy a newer model and 3com will rebate me 25% of the price.

Is this correct?

Thanks

We have a customer who experienced the same response this weekend on a similar product.
Pretty lame of them, huh?

I get my refurbished 3Com switches from for very resonable prices. They can break the password if
unknown, and run stress tests on the ports to ensure you
get a working switch. They usually offer a 30 day replacement warranty. They also upgrade the Opcode to the
current version before shipping so you get the latest version.
