Superset 1000 handset volume?

Hi, I have a number of mitel superset 1000 consoles REV C, where the volume up and down works the ringer, but does not make a difference on the handset volume.
The consoles that are backlit and or use power supply's work fine. Is there a version or REV of mitel consoles where the handset volume works up and down on the non backlit consoles? It seems to me that there is, or is all the non backlit console not able to control handset volume up and down? Thanks!

Never heard that but from user guide
On 200ICP
To adjust the handset and headset receiver volume while a call is in
progress and the console is not ringing, or while the console is idle:
• Press ∧ repeatedly to increase the volume or ∨ to decrease it.

On SX200 or SX2000
