I have some text files from a SuperDOS server that I need to import to my SCO Open Server 5 server. The SuperDOS server has a 525MB 1/4" tape drive and I have a 1/4" tape drive on my SCO box. I have backed up the text files with the "STAPE" program on the SuperDOS box. I have read the files in on my SCO machine with dd but I can't separate out the files from the dd image. Is there any utility under SCO that can read a tape from a SuperDOS server? Or is there possible another way to accomplish this? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Wow. I was not aware there were any Superdos sites left.

But, there is NO compatibility between DOS/Win tapes and Unix - unless you use one of the windows tar emulation tools.

But I'm not sure if any of those would run under Superdos.

Is there a possibility of networking the two boxes, and is there ftp availiable for Superdos? That mught be the way to go.
