Hi all,

We are migrating from ACCPAC 3.0A to Advantage Series Corporate Edition 5.1A. Previously our spec files are written using CA-SuperCalc 1.0A. The new ACCPAC does not support SuperCalc file format, hence I have to rewrite the spec files into Excel, I have abt 20 companies and abt 780 SuperCalc files to convert!

Is there any programs that can convert the SuperCalc (.mds) files to Excel (.xls) format?

Regards,

Benny

Hi,

Had the same hassle a few years ago. Ended up having to cut and paste from each report into excel. The only good news is that it is good billable time. You can hire temps for less than the cost of a consultant. Once it is in xls files you can easily port them to Accpac.

oh yeah... that's what i'm doing now. record some "usable" macros through Excel and assign short cut keys to them, cut and paste between Supercalc and Excel, then run the macros. It's better than none though..

Benny
