Hi,

Here is the information on our new server:

Dual Xeon 3000mhz 2mbx2
4gb ddr ram
C: 2x36gig SCSI RAID1 for OS
D: 5x73gig SCSI RAID5 for files

Installed:
Windows 2003
DNS & ADS
Romaing Profiles
Norton Business Antivirus 10.0

We done a lot of tests, Group Policies, Roaming profiles and everything is working just great, everyone can log in within 10 seconds. (well, almost every1)

Today is the second day since we transfered every1 from the old domain controler (under WinNT) to the new one. Yesterday morning, major crash on the server after 5-6 users loged, the server became really slow, and every1 trying to login were stuck on "Activating your personnal settings" or on the "Change your password" windows. During this crash, sent back 4 users on the old system, reseted the new server, everything was ok.

Yesternay evening, put back the 4 users on the new server and today, after most of the users loged in (22 users), one of the 4 pc (newly retransfered) loged, jam, and crashed the whole network again. IP, DNS, Gateway, domain, everything is well configured.

I just don't understand... could it be that one of those 4 pcs is crashing the whole server??

Any clue, what do you think about this?

Best regards,

Sam

PS: sorry for bad english, I am still learning it.

Whats the event logs say for both the PD and the Server? Any alerts?
