I have a computer that is getting pop-ups all the time while on the internet. I doesn't matter what site you are surfing at the time. I have run the following programs; adaware, spybot, cwsshredder, spysweeper, about.buster. My hijackthis log is here.

Jeez.
I've dealt with some like this lately on work machines.
This stuff is getting annoying.

Here's some ideas, I hope you're comfortable with this...

Download a copy of Pocket Killbox. You're going to ned it.

Start hunting down these dlls:
ADDWX.DLL
APIFK32.DLL
WINKM.DLL
APIAZ.DLL
petqz.dll

Delete them as you find them. You may have to use Killbox on them, as many of them are "being used by Windows."
Start your search in your SYSTEM folder (maybe SYSTEM32....I don't/never have used ME).
You should be able to home in on a group of random alpha named dlls that have modified dates matching today or the last day or so (depending on when the problem happened). (Notice that your search entries in the log changed to another randomly named .dll?)
Eliminate them all.

Have a look at your startup as well (Start > Run > msconfig > startups tab). Uncheck anything suspicious.

Tired of waiting for an answer? Try asking better questions. See: faq222-2244

In your first log I noticed these entries
C:\WINDOWS\ADDYW32.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\D3PP.EXE

In your secont log I noticed these entries
C:\WINDOWS\ADDYW32.EXE
C:\WINDOWS\ADDTI.EXE
More than likely the ADDYW32.EXE generates a random exe file at startup. The secondary exe file probably is there to recreate the ADDYW32.exe file.

Disable System Restore

Boot to safe mode and delete ADDYW32.EXE. After deleting the ADDYW32.exe file run hijackthis.

Then delete the R0-R3 entries on hijackthis
delete
O2 - BHO: Class - {48FF15DC-7DE4-8A55-4406-735EB81CA46C} - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SYSJR.DLL

O2 - BHO: Class - {C986EB6B-1AF3-C334-CFEB-E2AC6166A212} - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SYSJR.DLL

O4 - HKLM\..\RunServices: [ADDYW32.EXE] C:\WINDOWS\ADDYW32.EXE

Also if these still exist delete them as well
O2 - BHO: Class - {28510C06-A16B-091E-FA46-4DB58B0A0432} - C:\WINDOWS\ADDWX.DLL (file missing)

O2 - BHO: Class - {0A9AC70B-D55C-F5E0-B29D-89941C454F9E} - C:\WINDOWS\APIFK32.DLL (file missing)

O2 - BHO: Class - {AEA0AA17-241D-D1A4-6B03-544854F6A984} - C:\WINDOWS\WINKM.DLL (file missing)

O2 - BHO: Class - {B7C25C68-FA17-FA9D-AF0F-BB29B5B9B64C} - C:\WINDOWS\APIAZ.DLL

When you are finished:
Delete your Temporary Internet Files and Temp Files in your temp folder
Run Ad-Aware, Spybot, CWShredder
Goto Control Panel|Internet Options and reset your Homepage
Reboot
Run Window Updates
I hope this helps

Try PopUpStopper from Panic software. It kills those pop-ups!
They have a free version which is completely functional.

hhjones43,

Killing the pop ups is not going to fix the IE hijacker. The only way to kill the hijacker is killing its source. The pop ups are just a biproduct of the hijacker. PopupStopper will not fix the changing of the homepage.

I haven't had a chance to do anything with this computer. It is a work computer. I need to make sure that the downtime won't kill me before I start deleteing dlls. I will update everyone as soon as I take some action.....
