Access 2003/Win XP:

I've designed forms with some flat controls. But on other people's machines I see that they are sunken. Any idea why, or what I should do to make them flat on everyone's machines? Thanks.

The only thing that sounds right to me (but I doubt you would overlook) is that they have a copy of the front end they have modified. Have you tried copying over their front end from the same UNC where you keep the master copy on one of the offending machines?

Now I am reaching but is it possible it is some sort of distortion like Anti-Aliasing being on one system and not on the other or some confluence of that and the monitor type (LCD vs CRT). Are the video drivers up to date?

Is there code on the form's onopen or onload events that explains it?

Is the property different on some machines or does it just look wrong?

If you log in, does the problem persist?

Are there any programs in add/remove programs you do not know? If yes, research them.

And of course the number one forgotten question... Is Office and windows fully patched on the problem machines?

I'm all out of ideas, Good Luck and Happy Hunting.

To be sure . . . [red]this is not normal![/red] Perform the following and let us know the results.

[li]Call up the [blue]properties window[/blue] and select the [blue]Format[/blue] tab.[/li]
[li]Now select one of the (suppose to be flat) textboxes.[/li]

Does it do this in all databases, or just this one?

HEY!! How'd that happen? Per Aceman--they do say SUNKEN. But I don't understand how I hit the FLAT thingy on the toolbar (or so I think) and they look flat to me, but on others' machines (I dont know whose or how many) they are sunken.
