Sunfire V100 server startup

I purchased a Sunfire V100 server from ebay. I am new to sun servers, not sure any OS installed or not. I have the box with no cables. How do I kick start installing Solaris from Windows machine? What type of cable do I need to buy for connection with windows machine?

i'm not sure what you mean by 'kickstart from a windows machine', if you mean, have the server pull the images from the windows machine then that is not an option.

It sounds as if you are going to have to download the Solaris operating system from sun.com, then.

either connect to the server via serial cable or hook up a head/mouse/keyboard and install Solaris the el manual way.
