We have a customer who is using a Foxconn 661FX7MI-RS motherboard with a
Realtek ALC653 AC’97 audio controller.

Foxconn do not provide any Solaris drivers at all and I have not been able to find any.

This is the motherboard:

Could you help, or will they have to get a PCI sound card (to go with the PCI network card!) ?

Thanks for your time,

Nigel Butler

My customer has just report this. I will ask him to try U2, the very latest version.

I have tried this one;

Audio drivers Version 1.8 and Beta Version 1.9 for Solaris:

I can't get it to work, when I run it in the Media player I get the following:
"Unsupported or Invalid Media File"
"Failed to prefetch: Cannot open the Audio Device"

When run from the Command Line I get
"Audioplay: cannot stat /dev/audio: No such file or Directory"
