Hello,
I have a Sun Sanbox 8 switch with f/w 3.04.62 and SUNWsmgr( SanSurfer) 2.07.54
I am not sure if this combination is latest or not.
I came across an information saying that the switch can be upgraded to f/w 4.x version with SUNWsmgr2(Sanbox Manager) . I did upgrade the f/w to 4.02.42. But guess what the switch face plate shows different port numbers and port physical style. It shows ports starting with 0 where as physically the switch is marked with 1.. 8. Maybe the f/w is for Qlogic branded switch? But then this is what I found on the Sun website so I thought it's applicable to Sun branded one.
Does anyone know what's going on?
I just want to have the s/w at latest f/w and management s/w. Is this switch manageable outband? ( only through Ethernet port )
