try ing to get a connection across a firewall on rpc to a sun box. I have oponed port 111 which is sun rpc portmapper. However the application still will not run.
With rpc - do you only have to open the portmapper port? I thought the agreed ports that the traffic will then pass over will be allowed through as it is stateful.
