Sun OS and the Java env and patches

I am looking for someone that might have some know how on the Java packages that I need for a business class system. I am currently trying to duplicate one Sparc machine to another. The problem is that I have always used Linux and no ideah what I am doing with Sun's OS. The documentation is just not there for Sun unless you pay for it. Also, what do all the showrev messages mean that I see when I exec showrev -p? I mean I basically know what they mean but I see A-LOT of them and I can't seem to find ANY information out there on what each one is or how to fix it. Can someone please give me some type of direction.

Re showrev, it depends on what the messges you do not understand. You can get more info on the patches from the SUN website: -
