I want to buy a Sun E450 Server to play around with. However, I need to know if it can take the newer 73gig Hard Disks or if I should stick with the old 36gig HDD's?

The server I have my eye on at the moment already has 2x18gig HDD's but I need at least 100gig in order to install my ERP application.

Thanks for your help.

Thanks for the reply Ray. Someone else has told me that Sun OS 10 can be configured to use ZFS, and if I do this then the limits speciified by Sun will not matter. Basically ZFS will allow me to use the 73gig HDD.

Can anyone confim if this is the case? I don't want to buy a bunch of HDD then find out I can't use them.

Don't think the limit is in OS or filesystem, the limitations is in the hardware.
