Dear All,
My Sun server E450 is running with Solaris 2.6. Lately 2 unit out of 6 unit hardisk in the front end tray are not responding. Found that the 2 unit hard disk running on controller 1 is not responding.

Have done swapping from good hard disk(taken from controler 0) also not respond. For your information the server come with 8 port SCSI controller.

The question is, what is the problem? Is it SCSI controller 1 and onwards faulty. For your information the fan module and 3 unit power supply module is running OK.
Please help me on that matter.

please check the /var/adm/messages for more information; run 'format', are all disks on one controller faulty/not available?

Best Regards, Franz
