Hello. I have 2 Sun Sparc2 boxes and only one keyboard. Whenever I pull the keyboard out of the Sun box, it turns off. I want to be able to run both boxes at the same time, but cant when it turns off. Is there some way around this?

Thanks,

-Tom

Look in /etc/default/kbd.

also do a man on kbd

thats ok but once you have set edited your kbd file and rebooted the server you cant stop-A

run the kbd command

the syntax is kbd -a disable

this will allow you to remove the keyboard from the system without the system
crashing to the ok prompt.

to change the effect back to normal run the command
kbd -a enable

You might also want to think about getting a video/keyboard switch that will allow you to connect multiple machines to a single monitor and keyboard. That way, you won't have to switch your keyboard back and forth between machines. I've used Apex SunDial video switches in the past with good results.
