Summing Field 1

I have a field (Value 1) which is placed in both the detail and group sections of a report:

e.g.
Section Name Value 1 Value 2
Detail Fred 3 2
Detail Fred 3 1
Group Fred 3 Sum of Value 2

Can I sum the field in the group rather than the detail section - or have I got my design all wrong here.

If you have a current enough version, you can create a running total and set it to evaluate on "change of group".
