Hello ...

I've written my 'summed' query expression as [Revised Budget] - ([Actual Cost To Period End date] + [Estimate At Completion]) and when I try to run it I get an error message saying "Subqueries cannot be used in the expression ([Revised Budget]-(Actual Cost To Period End Date] + [Estimate At Completion]))". What exactly does this mean and how should I rewrite it?

Thanks in advance,
Ryan

Are any of the fields {Revised Budget, [Actual Cost to Period End Date], or [Estimate At Completion] calculated in the same query (for example purposes, we'll call Q1)?

If so, you may need to create a new query based on Q1 to calculate the expression [Revised Budget] - ([Actual Cost To Period End date] + [Estimate At Completion]).

Access has a hard time calculating a field that is calculated in the same query.
