Hi All,

I am using Crystal Reports XI, I have some Categories and display some details for each category, and I want to get the count of items under each category without displaying the details of the Category as much as the count of its items (as this is the problem I am facing currently)

Thanks a lot for your cooperation

Best Regards,

You should use the running total option

top option should be detail field

on the evaluate section choose the category you want to be counted.

the reset option is there if you have groups so you can sum by group or for the whole report.

Try placing the item field in the detail section and then right click on it and insert a summary (count). Then you can drag the summary into the group header and suppress the detail section and group footer.

If you have record inflation, then you would need to use a running total instead, placing it in the group footer.
